The thing that strikes me odd, is why does the chart top out at an IQ of 110?

Same reason it doesn't go below 60.
Ever see graphs where they leave off empty portions and just focus on the data?
None of the data points landed above 110, or below 60, so they just left it off, and it makes sense given the title of the graph and the article.
It's not a real graph though, but the article is.

I read Dawkin's last book, The God Delusion, a few months ago and enjoyed it a lot. I actually gave it to a friend who was partially religious, and ended up dropping his entire belief system because of the book.

The Celestial Teapot argument is always a wonderful conversation topic.
ProTip- If you are a new member in this guild (such as myself), learn your fucking place. If you need directions, it's at the bottom of the totem pole.
Boris the Blade, or Boris the Bullet Dodger; he's as bent as the Soviet Sickle and as hard as the hammer that crosses it. Apparently it's impossible to kill the bastard.

Toddler 'starved to death by religious cult because he wouldn't say amen'

A toddler whose remains were found inside a suitcase was starved to death by religious cult members - including his mother - because he refused to say 'amen' after meals, police said today.

Ria Ramkissoon and three other members of the group have been charged with the first-degree murder of her son Javon Thompson, whose body was found in April.

U.S. police and the family of Ramkissoon say that the group, based in Baltimore and called 1 Mind Ministries, is a cult.

Amen!

I dunno if I quite believe that one. I don't think a kid would hold out that hardcore in the face of food deprivation over a word.

There was the thing earlier this summer though with the family who wouldn't take their sick daughter to the doctor, figuring prayer would cure her... of course, prayer didn't, and she died.
It is a curious thing, do you know, how your mind is supersaturated with the religion in which you say you disbelieve. - James Joyce
